Join me in my endo journey.

You are not alone.

Hey there! My guess is that you’ve stumbled upon my website looking for guidance, answers, or just reassurance that you are not alone in this. Endometriosis is a difficult, “invisible” illness that can really take a toll on our wellbeing – and I’m not just talking about the pain. There are so many mental obstacles that we learn to overcome on a day to day basis. I want you to know that you are NOT alone in this.

Your worth isn’t dictated by your illness.

Regardless of if you’ve been officially diagnosed with endometriosis, or have simply suffered from excruciating periods your whole post-pubescent life, your worth is not dictated by your illness. It may feel like it sometimes, but there are so many amazing attributes you possess. Never forget that!

Advocate for yourself.

Chronic pelvic pain is not normal. Painful periods that keep you from doing what you love is not normal. You are the one who knows your body the best. I want you to know that it is SO important to advocate for yourself. Before I was diagnosed with endometriosis, I experienced a gynecologist who brushed off my symptoms and concerns. I was left with no direction for my chronic pelvic pain, and I knew the pain was only going to continually worsen. I was fortunate enough to find a gynecologist who took my pain seriously, and I cannot explain how much hope I felt when I heard her mention the word “endometriosis” as a possible contender. It is an exhausting process, but I promise it is well worth the self-advocation.

You are STRONG.

Chronic pain is not easy to deal with. I know I had felt like I needed to hide that I was in pain at the sake of the wellbeing of others. I didn’t want to be a burden to my loved ones, or seem like I was trying to get out of certain responsibilities at work. Chronic pain does not make you weak, although it sometimes really does feel like it. You are so much stronger than you realize, and you’d be amazed at how inspired others are by your resilience.
